Hello! Shining is a pretty new and unknown band for
the readers. We might need an introduction...
Well, yes Shining is a pretty new band. We have been around since late 1997,
been rehearsing seriously since a couple of months back before recording the
singel. The band consists of three members: Robert - guitars and vocals,
Wraith - guitars and bass and Impaler - drums. In the future maybe I will
play bass on the recordings too.
You`ve recorded 2 cool songs. Where did you record them? Will they be
released in any way?
Yes, we have recorded two songs: "Endless solitude" and
"Submit to selfdestruction". They will both be released as a
7" and it will be out anytime now. The name of the singel will be
"Submit to selfdestruction" and will propably only be released in
300 copies. The two songs were recorded in Necromorbus studios.
You are supposed to record some new songs soon, aren't you? Where are you
going to record them?
Right now we don't know... maybe the same as before, who knows?
Is any label interested in the band?
As the single isn't released yet almost none have heard it. So no labels yet,
we will release the singel by ourself.
Do you think your music is original. Is orginality important for a band?
I think the music differs a lot if compared to todays crap! The music is
quite orignial, but as every band says: you progress very much in the
beginning, so will we...I don't think that orginality is the big issue here,
the feeling is there and that's what counts. Agree? (Absolutely - ed)
What do you think you got to offer the scene? There are so many bands
allready...
Well I can start by telling the readers that Shining is not a shitty
wimp band which we only play in for fun. What we perform is pure black. We
give you what you need for submission to self destruction! You aren't worth a
shit. Don't set me wrong here, true worshipper of evil are always one step
ahead. But are still slaves of Him... The new material will be darker and
faster. As for other bands: I don't fucking care...
What about the lyrics? What do they dealt with?
Wraith wrote "Endless Solitude" so I won't answer what it's about.
"Submit..." is about demonic possession. In the future I will write
more of the lyrics and music.
Is Shining a serious band? Or you just play for money and chicks? To become
rockstars? No, seriously, how important is the band for you?
I am pretty new in the band so I haven't made up my mind yet. But I know
Wraith and Impaler takes this very seriously.
I think some t-shirts will be out for sale, maybe some other stuff...
Well, the T-shirts are not really out yet. Hopefully we'll have time and
money to do just that.

Right now we havn't got anything planed. Time will tell...
What do you think about the underground scene today?
Seems like people are to much into the "Metal trend". People have
wimped out and blame it as "going back to their roots". Nothing
wrong with 80's Metal. I myself still listen to old originators. "Black
metal" bands have dropped their paint and start wearing Iron Maiden
T-shirts instead of Emperor, Mayhem or what the fuck they wore before. Seems
like none knows why, but suddenly it's something shameful to listen to Black
Metal. I myself am proud to call myself Black Metal. Just because some idiots
have made the Black Metal movement look silly doesn't mean that everyone who
call themself B.M. is unserious. Now almost everyone is bussy drinking and
remembering "the 80's" and I am sure 90% of those listened to some
shit pop or whatever back then. These idiots are only living for the moment
and I hate that they can't think ahead. But still there are a few (note few)
great bands that haven't wimped out. There are also new bands that are very
hopefull. I still think Sweden is the best, Norway's old "Black
Metal" bands have gone either Vikings or just faggots.
